Be Ready to Act Fast When Every Second Counts

Anaphylaxis–a severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction–can happen anytime, anywhere. Knowing how to recognize the signs and administer an epinephrine auto-injector quickly can save a life.


Our Use and Administration of Epinephrine Auto-Injectors training provides essential, hands-on instruction to help you respond confidently and correctly during an allergic emergency.


What You Will Learn

This class covers the critical knowledge and practical skills you need, including:

  • What anaphylaxis is and how to recognize the symptoms
  • Common triggers of severe allergic reactions
  • When and how to administer an epinephrine auto-injector (e.g. EpiPen®, AUVI-Q®, generic brands)
  • Proper storage, handling, and disposal of auto-injectors
  • Steps to take after administering epinephrine, including calling 911
  • Legal protections and Good Samaritan considerations

This training is highly recommended for:

  • School staff, teachers, and childcare providers
  • Coaches and camp counselors
